November was a phenomenal month of 2017 for me. I’ve been trying to find my footing this year as I quit my cushy corporate job in January. Things are FINALLY starting to fall into place, which I assume is the case with any adjustment period.
If you know me then you know I’ve made 5 pretty bad decisions in a row is 5 years. Yeah, that was kind of my thing – but not anymore! I’ve learned a very valuable lesson that’ll stick.
Learn from my mistakes, please! I traded 5 brand new cars (each had less than 20k miles) in the span of 5 years (those salesman make it so easy too) which left me paying over $750 a month just between car & insurance payment every month.
I love love loved the Jeep I leased! I have a thing for jeeps, but it wasn’t practical for just me. My puppy (he was 11 but he’ll always be my puppy) passed away earlier this year so my roll dog is gone and I didn’t need all that space. It was a bummer because I didn’t get to drive it in the sand or snow either!
I told you all that to tell you this – i got a 2015 Chevy Malibu (the car & Insurance payment comes too a little over $325!) that I absolutely love! My brother said it looks like a granny car compared to the Jeep but I told him to kiss my ass because I’m saving so much money & getting 36mpg, his Jeep gets 19mpg.
At the beginning of January I started to work with my aunt at her insurance agency as an assistant. I also decided to start my freelance writing business which was going great until I got a part time job that turned into full time at a candle shop on my days off. Taking up so much time with the candle shop & 3 days a week with my aunt I had no days off and was exhausted.
Something had to give before I gave out. I applied for a dermatologist billing job I discovered on Facebook Jobs then got a call for an interview. I went into interview and afterwards I got shown around the office to meet everyone. I got a call on Tuesday of last week to come in to shadow the job I’d be doing to see if I’d like it and I’m a fit. I’m so excited, It will be 2-3 days a week plus with my aunt 1-2 days a week. I’d have my afternoons plus weekends free to rebuild my freelance writing business.
I’ve been learning anything I can about manifesting and getting a grasp on it. Some people I tell just laugh when I talk about it, that’s ok though; to each is their own.
I am a believer though because I’ve really put it into play this month and it has totally and completely came through. I needed to get out from under the debt the Jeep weighed on me, I was stressed to the max. I had no idea I could hold 2 auto loans but it worked out.
I wanted a sturdy part time job so I could still work at the insurance office part time which would also allow me to write. I see this month as a win!!
What did you win at this month?
